Great Gatsby book review

This book is an ok book. The book did not really keep my interested for very long, but I must admit that there were some parts in the book that caught my eye. Never the less I read the book to the beginning to the end. First off this book’s setting is in the 1920’s and about a person called Gatsby. Gatsby is apposed to be a rich man that throe's wild party's at mansion. Although this is what the book is manly about, this book is about other thing besides what Gatsby did.
In one the parts of the book, the book was gust starting to get interesting in one of Gatsby’s famous parties were about to happen. “At least once a fortnight a corps of caterers came down with several hundred feet of canvas and enough colored lights to make a Christmas tree of Gatsby’s enormous garden. On buffet tables, garnished with glistening hors-d’oeuvre, spiced baked hams crowded against salads of harlequin designs and pastry pigs and turkeys bewitched to a dark gold. In the main hall a bar with a real brass rail was set up, and stocked with gins and liquors and with cordials so long forgotten that most of his female guests were too young to know one from another.By seven o’clock the orchestra has arrived, no thin five-piece affair, but a whole pitiful of oboes and trombones and saxophones and viols and cornets and piccolos, and low and high drums. The last swimmers........”. To think that he actually has parties like this one every month or so. You would think he would have parties on a cations like for holiday day such as Christmas or Thanksgiving.
Another moment in the book was when people were getting curers of Gatsby and his life’s back round. “He’s a bootlegger,” said the young ladies, moving somewhere between his cocktails and his flowers. “One time he killed a man who had found out that he was nephew to Von Hindenburg and second cousin to the devil. Reach me a rose, honey, and pour me a last drop into that there crystal glass.”
Again this book didn’t keep me interested for very long, but never the less its a good book. This book doesn’t have that many twisted and terns in it, but its a good book if you don’t like twisted and terns. This book is a kind of short book because it has only has 9 chapters, but the pages are very long, you could probably finish it in a week if you read 2 chapters a day or sooner depending if you are a fast reader.
